Construction Skills Bootcamp

Description

A fully funded four-week programme designed to give local residents the skills and certifications needed to enter the construction industry. Includes CSCS card preparation, health and safety training and a guaranteed interview with a Pearl Yard contractor.

Requirements

  • Must be aged 19+
  • Resident of Southwark borough
  • Currently unemployed or seeking a career change
  • No previous construction experience needed
  • Able to commit to the full four-week programme

Responsibilities

  • Attend all training sessions for the full four weeks
  • Complete CSCS health and safety test
  • Participate in practical construction exercises
  • Prepare a CV with support from the employment team
  • Attend at least one employer interview

About the Employer

Southwark Works is the council-funded employment support service helping Southwark residents into work, training and apprenticeships. They partner with local developers to deliver skills programmes linked to S106 commitments.
