In October 2022, Greystar purchased the former Peek Freans Biscuit Factory site and are delivering the long-awaited Pearl Yard Bermondsey. The development includes hundreds of new rental homes alongside commercial and community space.
Supply Chain Commitments
As part of the Section 106 agreement with Southwark Council, the developer and main contractor are required to provide opportunities for local businesses within the supply chain. This includes:
- Procurement packages advertised to local suppliers first
- Meet-the-buyer events connecting local businesses with tier-one contractors
- Support for local businesses to meet pre-qualification requirements
- Regular supply chain engagement sessions throughout the build programme
